The ordinary session in September initially approves the ordinance for the protected housing registry and extends services at the three municipal nursery schools until the new contract is resolved.
The municipal corporation of Guillena held an ordinary plenary session on 24 September, where the regulatory ordinance for the Municipal Registry of Protected Housing was initially approved. The measure passed with votes from the PSOE and abstentions from IU-Podemos and PP.
The text now opens a period for public exposure so that residents and groups can present suggestions and proposals before its final approval. The registry will serve to organise the demand for protected housing in the municipality and expedite qualifications.
In the same session, the plenary approved the collaboration agreement between the Provincial Council of Seville and the City Council of Guillena for technical assistance in managing the registry of applicants for protected housing and in provisional and definitive qualifications. The approval received support from PSOE and IU-Podemos, while PP abstained.
The local government also brought to the plenary the continuation of services at the three municipal nursery schools: El Trenecito in Guillena; Las Pajanosas and Torre de la Reina. The proposal aims to ensure service provision until the new contract, which is already being processed, is resolved. The voting was identical: PSOE and IU-Podemos in favour and PP abstaining.
The session also included two points on plenary objections and extrajudicial credit recognition, which passed with votes from PSOE, rejection from IU-Podemos, and abstention from PP. Additionally, the plenary was informed of the liquidation file of the 2025 Budget.
In the motions section, the three municipal groups agreed on a proposal to implement evacuation plans and public fire prevention measures in residential areas located in forest environments. The motion was unanimously approved.
With the initial approval of the ordinance, the City Council of Guillena now begins the public exposure process. Interested parties will be able to consult the document and submit objections within the established timeframe, before the text returns to the plenary for final approval.
