The Town Hall of Guillena has organised three outings to the water park Guadalpark this summer, bringing together over 130 residents from various parts of the municipality.

The Citizen Participation Area of the Town Hall of Guillena has concluded the summer excursion cycle to Guadalpark with a total of over 130 participants. The outings, scheduled between July and August, took residents from Torre de la Reina, Las Pajanosas, and Guillena to the Sevillian water park, which has become the top plan to combat the heatwave.

The first outing was on July 22, coinciding with the Day of Torre de la Reina at Guadalpark, which saw over 30 attendees. A week later, on Wednesday, July 29, it was the turn of Las Pajanosas, and the following Wednesday, August 5, the Day of Guillena was celebrated, marking the outing with the highest participation.

On this last excursion, all 54 bus seats were filled and several residents joined with their own vehicles to take advantage of the special discount offered by the park. In total, the day brought together dozens of people from the locality.

The initiative, which is repeated every summer, aims to provide an affordable leisure alternative for families in the municipality. The excursions included free transport and discounted entry for residents of Guillena, a measure the Town Hall promotes to facilitate access to recreational activities during the hottest months.

The Council positively values the community response and does not rule out repeating the proposal in future editions. The next outing to Guadalpark will be next summer, although those interested can check with the Citizen Participation area for availability in other summer activities.
