The Musical Training Area of the Guillena Town Hall has kicked off the 2026-27 academic year at the 'Francisco Javier Gutiérrez Juan' Municipal Music School with around 450 enrolled students. Classes began yesterday, Tuesday 15th September, at the venue located next to the Cultural Centre.
The 'Francisco Javier Gutiérrez Juan' Municipal Music School in Guillena is now underway. The Musical Training Area of the local Town Hall started yesterday, Tuesday 15th September, the 2026-27 academic year with around 450 students returning to the classrooms.
The day began in the morning with the initial faculty meeting, where the projects for the new term were reviewed. In the afternoon, the doors of the centre opened for the first classes and scheduling meetings. The Councillor for Musical Training, Toñi Hernández, attended the event.
This year's programme maintains the 18 instrumental specialities: piano, clarinet, bassoon, flute, classical guitar and flamenco guitar, oboe, percussion, saxophone, trombone, horn, trumpet, tuba and euphonium, violin, viola, cello, double bass, as well as singing.
In addition to this offer, there are group subjects in musical language, chamber music, children's choir, string orchestra and band, along with basic training for children aged 5 to 7 years.
The centre also retains workshops for flamenco guitar, flamenco dancing, sevillanas, castanets, modern singing, electric and acoustic guitar, drums and cornet. For the youngest, there are baby music classes for ages 24 to 36 months, and musical initiation for ages 3 and 4 years.
