The British band The Prodigy once again filled Plaza de España in Seville as part of the Icónica Santalucía Sevilla Fest, offering a concert that had thousands of attendees dancing non-stop.

The return of The Prodigy to Seville did not disappoint. Last night, Plaza de España became the epicentre of electronic music with a show that lasted over an hour and a half, leaving the audience in awe of the British band. With a repertoire that combined classics and more recent tracks, the group proved that they remain a benchmark of big beat and rave culture.

An Explosive Start with 'Omen'

The night began with 'Omen', one of the most emblematic tracks from their album 'Invaders Must Die' (2009). From the first chord, the crowd went wild and did not stop jumping. Maxim Reality, with his characteristic charisma, took control of the stage and guided the audience through a non-stop sonic journey.

The sweltering heat of the Sevillian night was no obstacle for the attendees to fully immerse themselves. 'Voodoo People' and 'Poison' resonated with a power that made every corner of the iconic venue vibrate, while mobile phones were raised to capture every moment.

From 'Invaders Must Die' to 90s Classics

One of the peak moments came with 'Invaders Must Die', the title track of the 2009 album and a staple in their live performances. The party continued with 'No Good (Start the Dance)', which led to a kind of collective trance. Maxim Reality, in a moment of connection, asked the audience: "Are you still there?", provoking a thunderous response.

The setlist also included two 90s classics: 'Their Law' and 'Smack my Bitch Up'. With the latter, Plaza de España transformed into a giant dance floor, with thousands of people singing and moving to the most intense electronic beats. The band, led by Liam Howlett on keyboards and Maxim Reality at the forefront, demonstrated that the essence of The Prodigy remains intact despite the loss of Keith Flint in 2019.

A Grand Finale with 'Breathe' and 'Out of Space'

After a brief break during which the audience chanted the White Stripes classic, the band returned for the final stretch. 'Breathe', one of their most iconic tracks, unleashed madness, followed by 'Take Me to The Hospital' and the closing with 'Out of Space'. It was the perfect finale for an evening that many will call the best concert of the festival.

The Icónica Santalucía Sevilla Fest thus heads into its final stretch with resounding success, demonstrating that Seville is a key destination for major musical events. The attendees, who filled nearly all available space, left with the feeling of having experienced something unique, a true rave in one of the most beautiful places in the world. And as Maxim Reality said, "the heat cannot stop us".
