The youth player Pablo García scored two goals in Real Betis' first pre-season friendly against Sportfreunde Lotte (0-3) and stated that his priority is to succeed at the club of his life.

The winger of Real Betis Pablo García wasted no time in the first pre-season friendly. The youth player, who came on in the second half, needed just a few minutes to open the scoring with a left-footed shot and, in the final moments, completed his brace. The match, held at the Stadion am Lotter Kreuz in Lotte (Germany), ended with a convincing 0-3 victory for the verdiblanco team, which also saw a goal from Nelson Deossa from the penalty spot.

The player, who last season alternated between the first team and the reserve team, made it clear that his goal is to establish himself at the elite level.

“I am very happy to score again with this badge. I want to take every opportunity and keep scoring to help the team,” he declared after the match.
The forward, born in Parque Alcosa in Seville, knows that competition is fierce, but his message of commitment resonated deeply with the travelling fans, who filled the stands with nearly 5,000 supporters.

A season of learning and overcoming

Last season, Pablo García played 15 matches in LaLiga, accumulating 378 minutes without scoring or providing an assist. However, in the Copa del Rey, he showcased his scoring ability: a brace against Palma del Río and an assist against Torrent. When he lost prominence in the first team, he returned to the reserve team to help in the fight for survival in Primera Federación. His response was spectacular: seven goals and two assists in nine matches, although it was not enough to prevent the second team's relegation.

The Real Betis hopes this pre-season will be the definitive springboard for the youth player. The coaching staff, led by Manuel Pellegrini, is looking for depth on the wings and a profile like García's, capable of unbalancing and making a difference from wide positions. The player himself acknowledged that he needs continuity and precision to establish himself.

“I have learned that in high-level football, it is not enough to have quality; you have to be consistent and take advantage of every minute,” he pointed out.

A decisive summer to earn a place

The number 33 now faces a crucial schedule of friendlies. After the victory in Germany, Real Betis will compete in the Trofeo Colombino and will face teams like Granada and Linense, before concluding their preparations in Dublin. Each match will be an opportunity to demonstrate that he can be a reliable resource in the rotation. The fans, who already chanted his name in Lotte, hope to see him established.

The youth player did not forget the supporters:

“Seeing so many people cheering in Germany was incredible. That gives you strength to keep working.”
His connection with the crowd and his love for the badge are values that the club appreciates, but he knows that affection is sustained by performance. For now, the first step has been promising. The two goals, renewed confidence, and an ambitious message paint an exciting starting point for a player who wants to leave behind last season's lack of success and become a regular part of Real Betis.

Upcoming commitments: the Trofeo Colombino and friendlies against Granada and Linense. Pablo García's challenge has just begun, but he has already sent a clear message: he wants to succeed at the club of his life.
