The 45th edition of the 'Manuel Jiménez Panal' Pedestrian Race will take place on September 12. The registration period is now open and over 800 runners are expected.
The Town Hall of Morón de la Frontera has opened the registration period for the 45th edition of the 'Manuel Jiménez Panal' Pedestrian Race, which will be held on September 12. Interested participants can register until August 14, as announced by the Sports Delegate, Rubén Torres.
This year's edition comes with several novelties. The main one is a new route that brings the event closer to more residents and aims to enhance the atmosphere in the streets. The route will again pass through the Santa María neighbourhood, as well as down San Miguel, Ánimas Street, Soria Street, and the Paseo de la Alameda.
Another novelty is the official t-shirt, designed by local artist Mario Vidal, which will feature an image of the Gallo de Morón, a symbol of the municipality. The organisation will also strengthen the refreshment points and improve the runner's bag.
The pace of registrations is promising: in the first few days, over 100 registered participants have already signed up. The previous edition set a record with more than 800 runners, a figure that the Town Hall hopes to surpass this year.
“We want this race to continue being a celebration of sport in the lead-up to the Morón Fair,” stated Rubén Torres.
The event is open to runners of all categories, both regulars and those looking to participate for the first time. Registrations can be made through the official channels of the Town Hall until August 14.
