The 'Wednesday Cinema' series moves to El Cortijuelo park in Gines on August 5 with the screening of 'Mufasa, the Lion King' at 22:00 hours.
The summer film series in Gines continues its journey through the town's parks, and this week it arrives at El Cortijuelo. Next Wednesday, August 5, starting at 22:00 hours, 'Mufasa, the Lion King', the latest installment from the Disney universe, will be screened.
With the arrival of August, the start time is moved forward by half an hour compared to the July sessions, a measure designed so that families can enjoy the film while there is still natural light. Entry is free, and as usual, it is recommended to bring your own chair for greater comfort outdoors.
The 'Wednesday Cinema' programme will continue afterwards at Concejala Dolores Camino Park, where 'Snow White' will be screened on August 12 and 'Lilo & Stitch' on August 19, both at 22:00 hours.
The series will conclude at Manolo Pérez Park with two sessions: 'Elio' on August 26 at 21:30 hours and 'The Bad Guys 2' on September 2 at the same time. This last event will mark the end of the 2026 edition of one of the most anticipated cultural proposals of the summer in the town.
The initiative, organised by the municipal Culture department, aims to bring cinema to the natural spaces of Gines and has established itself as a regular event for families in the municipality during the summer months.
