Two buses with over a hundred residents of Gines travelled this Thursday to the Cadiz beach of El Palmar, as part of the coastal outing series 'Thursdays in the Sun', which will continue until August 27.
The Gines Town Council has once again filled two buses with over a hundred residents who travelled this Thursday to El Palmar beach in Cadiz, as part of the initiative 'Thursdays in the Sun'. This activity, held every summer, brings the community to different coastal destinations for a day of togetherness with family and friends.
Participants have travelled comfortably and economically, without worrying about transport or parking. The programme, organised by the council, has established itself as one of the most sought-after events of the summer season in the locality.
The next outing will be on August 20 to Punta Umbría (Huelva), and the series will conclude on August 27 with an excursion to Barbate (Cádiz). All outings include round-trip bus travel from Gines.
The price per outing is 8 euros, with a reduced rate of 7 euros for unemployed individuals, retirees, and large families, upon presenting the relevant documentation. Minors must be accompanied, with a maximum of five minors per adult.
Registrations are made at the Casa del Mayor (Plaza de España) from 9:00 to 14:00 hours, on the Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays prior to each excursion, until places are filled. A maximum of five registrations per person is allowed.
This initiative aims to facilitate residents' access to the coast during the summer, promoting leisure and community without the need for a personal vehicle.
