The project 'The Extraordinary AOVE Podcast' by the Protected Designation of Origin Estepa ranks among the top three in the category of Best Marketing and Communication Project at the Auténtica Excellence Awards, announced in Seville.
The Protected Designation of Origin Estepa has been recognised as a finalist in the Auténtica Excellence Awards for its project “The Extraordinary AOVE Podcast”, selected among the top three works in the category of Best Marketing and Communication Project. The announcement was made during the awards ceremony held at the Fundación Cajasol de Sevilla.
The event was attended by the mayor of Estepa, Antonio Jesús Muñoz Quirós, and the councillor for Economic Development, Ascensión Castillo, who accompanied the D.O.P. Estepa delegation. Also present was the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries, Water and Rural Development of the Junta de Andalucía, Ramón Fernández-Pacheco.
The project has placed among the three finalists in its category out of more than a hundred submitted applications. The initiative promotes new communication formats to disseminate the culture of extra virgin olive oil and bring it closer to a wider audience.
The mayor highlighted the importance of this recognition for the municipality and for the olive oil sector in the region.
“Every award that recognises the work of our Designation of Origin also acknowledges the efforts of our farmers, cooperatives, and companies, as well as the quality of a product that carries the name of Estepa both inside and outside of Andalucía.”
For his part, the Secretary General of D.O.P. Estepa, Moisés Caballero, expressed the team's satisfaction with this recognition, which supports the use of “creative and close” educational formats to highlight the work of the olive-growing sector and the culture of extra virgin olive oil.
The Minister of Agriculture praised the efforts of an increasingly vibrant agri-food industry in Andalucía, “committed to the land and the origin of products, while being sustainable with its environment.”
D.O.P. Estepa's participation in the fourth edition of Auténtica Premium Food, one of the main professional gastronomic meetings in Andalucía, was complemented by a joint activity with the Regulatory Council of the IGPs Mantecados de Estepa and Polvorones de Estepa.
Both entities offered a tasting pairing of AOVE and traditional Estepa pastries, guided by Moisés Caballero and José María Fernández, where professionals and guests could discover the combination of the nuances and fruitiness of the extra virgin olive oils from the Estepa and Puente Genil regions with the characteristic aromas and flavours of mantecados and polvorones.
For the Estepa City Council, the joint presence of these two products backed by quality seals represents an opportunity to promote the agri-food richness of the municipality and showcase the relationship between tradition, quality, and innovation that characterises its gastronomy.
Auténtica Premium Food has brought together more than 12,000 professionals and 321 exhibiting companies in this edition, consolidating itself as a meeting point for producers, gastronomy professionals, and companies and entities linked to the agri-food sector.
The Estepa City Council has congratulated D.O.P. Estepa for this new recognition and has highlighted its role in promoting extra virgin olive oil, as well as its ability to develop new outreach projects that help bring the name of Estepa and its olive-growing sector to new audiences and gastronomic scenarios.
