The premium food fair returns to Fibes on September 14 and 15 with over 400 exhibitors and 12,000 professionals. The event, under the slogan 'Committed to Origin', reinforces Seville as a gastronomic epicentre.
The fourth edition of Authentic Premium Food is set for September 14 and 15, with the Fibes venue in Seville hosting over 400 exhibiting firms and expecting to surpass 12,000 professional visitors. The event, presented this week in Madrid, is consolidating itself as the major showcase for Andalusian gourmet products and the Mediterranean diet.
A 15,000 Square Metre Pavilion for Quality Products
The exhibition area has expanded to 15,000 square metres, distributed across two pavilions at Fibes. The organisation has opted for specialisation by categories to facilitate contact between producers and buyers: oils, preserves, fruits and vegetables, pasta, rice, spices, dairy, fish, beverages, bakery, meats, frozen goods, denominations of origin, equipment and packaging will each have their own space.
For the agri-food sector in Seville, Authentic is a direct business opportunity. Andalusia accounts for 19% of the agri-food industries in the country and 14% of the national business in the sector, as highlighted by Pedro Cerezuela, deputy director of the Ministry of Agriculture. "Authentic represents an exceptional opportunity to showcase this strength," he stated during the presentation.
Seville as a Top Gastronomic Destination
The event not only attracts professionals from distribution and hospitality but also reinforces the city's tourism strategy. Antonio Castaño, managing director of Tourism in Seville, emphasised that "Authentic fits perfectly as it helps position the city as a gastronomic reference, attracts high-value professional visitors, and projects our offer beyond peak demand periods."
The economic impact for the capital of Seville is significant: thousands of professionals from across Spain and abroad will fill hotels, restaurants, and shops during the week of the event. Furthermore, the fair projects an image of Seville "linked to quality, innovation, and sustainability," three pillars of the new tourism model pursued by the City Council.
Authentic Congress: 350 Experts and 200 Conferences
Alongside the exhibition area, Authentic Congress will gather over 350 speakers across six simultaneous stages, with more than 200 conferences and tastings. The agenda will address the major challenges facing the sector: from consumer evolution and profitability pressure to artificial intelligence, sustainability, and logistical resilience.
Confirmed chefs include names like Ángel León (Aponiente), Ricard Camarena, and Carme Ruscalleda, who will participate in the Culinary Fest by Gusto del Sur. They will connect cooking with disciplines such as sports, photography, or craftsmanship, with origin and territory as the common thread.
For the professional visitor from Seville, Authentic is an unmissable event: it allows discovering trends, tasting products, and establishing business contacts all in one venue. Registrations are already open on the official fair website.
