The Mairena del Alcor Town Hall organizes a guided route along the Cornice of Los Alcores to commemorate World Tourism Day. The event will take place on Saturday, September 19, 2026, starting at 9:00 AM from the Los Alcores Interpretation Centre.
The Mairena del Alcor Town Hall has scheduled a guided hiking route along the Los Alcores cornice to celebrate World Tourism Day. The activity, which is free and requires individual registration, aims to bring residents closer to the geological and environmental values of the municipality.
The route will begin with a visit to the Los Alcores Interpretation Centre and the José Millán room. Afterwards, participants will walk along the cornice, with views of the Vega, via the Zapata path until reaching the Santísimo Cristo de la Cárcel viewpoint.
The event will take place on Saturday, September 19, 2026. The meeting point is the Los Alcores Interpretation Centre, near the Fuente de Alconchel, at 9:00 AM.
The organizers recommend wearing comfortable clothing and footwear, bringing enough water, and using sun protection. Registration is individual, with one spot per application, and is formalized through an online form. Once registration is completed, the spot is confirmed with the receipt of an email.
“The main objective of this initiative is to highlight and raise awareness of the most unique geological and environmental aspects of the locality,” according to municipal sources.
The route will allow attendees to discover the richness of the Los Alcores cornice environment, an area of geological and landscape interest in the heart of the Seville countryside. Interested individuals can already register through the link provided by the Town Hall.
