The activity of the Chamber of Commerce Group of Seville generated an economic impact of 237.29 million euros in the province during 2025, according to a study by MERKADHOK and PROINCA Consultores. For every euro of public funding received, 22.95 euros of return were produced.

The Chamber of Commerce Group of Seville closed 2025 with an economic impact of 237.29 million euros in the province, according to a study conducted by the consulting firms MERKADHOK and PROINCA. The report, which analyses the activity of all the entities that make up the group, highlights that for every euro of public funding received, 22.95 euros of return were generated for the economy of Seville.

The study also quantifies the effect on employment: the Chamber Group sustained around 1,597 jobs through direct, indirect, and induced employment. Additionally, the activity generated 41.69 million euros in tax revenues, resulting in a positive balance of 31.35 million for public administrations after deducting the funding received.

The Chamber, the main engine of the group

The majority of the economic impact corresponds to the Chamber of Commerce of Seville, with 132.34 million euros. It is followed by EUSA, with 29.22 million, and Campus Cámara, with 12.32 million. Club Cámara and the Cámara Foundation complete the set of entities that make up the group, as detailed in the report.

One of the key factors of this impact is the ability to attract activity from outside the province. The Seville Convention Bureau, integrated within the Chamber, promotes the holding of congresses and professional meetings that fill hotels, restaurants, and shops in Seville. This is complemented by the arrival of students from other provinces and abroad who study at EUSA and spend their daily expenses in the city. Sectors such as accommodation, hospitality, commerce, transport, and professional services are the most benefited, according to the study.

Support for business competitiveness

The report also focuses on the programs developed by the Chamber to improve the competitiveness of businesses. Notable are the digitalisation initiatives, projects funded by FEDER funds, and specialised training, which help boost productivity and the qualification of workers. These actions represent an important part of the positive externalities valued in the study.

During 2025, the Chamber Group maintained contact with around 2,400 companies, organised more than 1,700 events and training actions, and brought together 38,566 participants. For the authors of the report, this activity goes beyond economic figures, as it contributes to strengthening the competitiveness of the business fabric in Seville and consolidating the province as an attractive destination for investment, business, and training.

In short, the Chamber of Commerce consolidates itself as one of the main agents of economic dynamism in the province, with a return that multiplies by 23 every public euro invested. This news undoubtedly invites one to think that, at least economically, Seville is on the right track. Hopefully, this example will spread.
