The State Meteorological Agency announces clear skies and a high of 37 degrees in Seville this Wednesday, rising to 40 on Saturday. The lows remain around 18 degrees.

The State Meteorological Agency (AEMET) predicts that Seville will reach 40 degrees next Saturday, in a week marked by clear skies and rising temperatures. This Wednesday, thermometers will hit 37 degrees around 19:00, with lows of 18.

A Week of Gradual Heat

For Thursday, AEMET announces a cloudless outlook and similar temperatures, with highs of 37 degrees and lows rising to 21 degrees. Winds will be light from the southwest. Friday will continue the clear trend, with values between 22 and 38 degrees.

The weekend will be the hottest: on Saturday, thermometers will register between 22 and 40 degrees, and on Sunday they will drop slightly to a maximum of 39 and a minimum of 23. No wind is expected on Saturday, while Sunday will see light breezes.

Recommendations for the Heat

In light of these temperatures, the Seville City Council reminds the importance of staying hydrated, avoiding sun exposure during the peak hours of the day, and paying special attention to the elderly and children. Health centres in the capital and province have already activated the usual protocols for heat episodes.

In other municipalities of the province, such as Jerez de la Frontera, little cloud cover is expected with highs of 36 degrees and lows of 17. In Huelva, clear skies will bring temperatures between 18 and 33 degrees.

“It is advised not to engage in intense physical activities outdoors between 12:00 and 18:00,” warn sources from the Health Department.

For the coming days, AEMET does not foresee any precipitation across the province, so heat will be the main feature. Sevillians should exercise extreme caution if planning outdoor activities over the weekend.
