Seville Fire Consortium Seeks New Manager Following Armando Gutiérrez's Retirement

The General Board of the Consortium for Prevention, Fire Extinction and Rescue of the Province of Seville has approved the process to appoint a new manager following the retirement of Armando Gutiérrez, who has led the entity for over four years.

The selection process for the new manager of the Provincial Fire Consortium of Seville is already underway. The General Board of the organization has given the green light to the public procedure to fill the position left by Armando Gutiérrez Arispón, who is retiring after more than four years at the helm of the entity.

A Phase of Transformation

During his tenure, Gutiérrez has driven a profound modernization of the Consortium, which integrates the Provincial Council of Seville and the municipalities of the province. Key milestones include the approval of the Director Plan in May 2025, an eight-year roadmap that has already been executed by over 50% in vehicles and by 57% in equipment and maintenance.

A historic agreement with the unions has also been achieved for the new Job Relationship (RPT), which adapts the structure to the Andalusian emergency legislation and will allow the first public job offers specific to the Consortium.

“His work has been decisive in consolidating the Consortium and laying the foundations for a stronger organization,” sources from the agency highlight.

Guaranteed Transition

Until the call is resolved, the current deputy manager, Cristina Jiménez, will assume the management in an acting capacity. This ensures the continuity of strategic projects, such as the construction of new fire stations and the improvement of the vehicle fleet.

For the residents of the province, this transition will not mean immediate changes in service. The Consortium will continue to operate normally while the successor to Gutiérrez is defined in a key consolidation phase.

A Key Service for the Province

The Seville Fire Consortium covers more than one million inhabitants of the province, with stations in towns such as Dos Hermanas, Écija, and Estepa. The modernization undertaken aims to improve response times and equip personnel with the best resources.

The public call for the manager position will be published in the coming days in the Official Bulletin of the Province and on the Consortium's website. The process is expected to be resolved within three to six months.
