The City Council of Seville has put forward the largest budget in its history for the Socio-Educational Actions Programme, aimed at minors in difficult or vulnerable situations. The investment reaches €8,277,313, which represents an increase of nearly 95% compared to the previous contract, as announced on Monday by the mayor, José Luis Sanz.
More places and more professionals
The programme is divided into two age groups: from 0 to 12 years and from 13 to 17 years. In the first group, the places during the school term increase from 176 to 210 minors, a 20% rise. In summer, the groups grow from 80 to 85 and the coverage from 1,440 to 1,530 minors. Additionally, the summer camps outside the city are maintained, with 460 places for children aged 7 to 12 years.
