Sevilla FC negotiates Oso's transfer to Olympiakos and finalises the signing of Julio Díaz

Left-back Oso's time at Sevilla is running out. The club is negotiating his transfer to Olympiakos for around €6.5 million, while Julio Díaz is set to be his replacement after turning down Levante.

Sevilla FC is accelerating in the transfer market to finalise Oso's departure and Julio Díaz's arrival, two moves that will reshape the left side of the squad. The Seville club is negotiating with Olympiakos, managed by former Sevilla player José Luis Mendilibar, for the transfer of the academy graduate, which could yield a profit of around €6.5 million for the club. Meanwhile, Atlético de Madrid's Julio Díaz has rejected Levante and is very close to becoming a new Sevilla player.

Negotiations with Olympiakos and the Marinakis group

Olympiakos, owned by Greek businessman Evangelos Marinakis, has renewed its interest in Oso after a brief pause in talks. The first offer from the Greek club, close to €6.5 million, did not convince Sevilla, who value the left-back at a higher figure. However, discussions have intensified, and it seems that the Greek group will improve their proposal to meet Sevilla's expectations.

Oso has a release clause of €20 million, but his departure would occur for a lower amount, generating significant profit for Sevilla. Nottingham Forest, also owned by the Marinakis group, is another interested team, although Olympiakos is currently in the lead.

Julio Díaz, the chosen one to fill the position

The chosen one to replace Oso is Julio Díaz, a 21-year-old left-back currently at Atlético de Madrid. Sevilla has entered a deal that Levante thought was closed and is now negotiating with the red-and-white club for the acquisition of 50% of his rights. The player is very keen on moving to Sánchez-Pizjuán, a stadium where he already played last season with the Atlético first team.

If all deals go through, Suazo and Julio Díaz will be Sevilla's two left-backs for the upcoming season. The only uncertainty remains Adrià Pedrosa, who, after returning from his loan at Elche, is currently training with the group and has travelled to Krakow with the team.
