Sevilla FC has set its sights on Argentine forward David Romero, a player from Club Atlético Tigre, as a possible reinforcement for the upcoming season. The need to cover the loss of Akor Adams, who left the Nervionense club, has led the sports management, headed by José Ignacio Navarro, to search for a striker who can guarantee at least the ten goals contributed by the Nigerian.
According to information from Argentina, Romero, 23, has attracted the interest of several clubs. In addition to Sevilla, Italian club Parma and Boca Juniors have expressed their willingness to sign him. Journalist César Luis Merlo has revealed that Boca has already made an offer that includes a sum of money plus a percentage of the transfers of Jabes Saralegui and Williams Alarcón. However, the player prioritises making the leap to Europe, which puts Sevilla in a favourable position in the negotiations.
The forward, born in Corrientes, has signed a contract with Tigre until 2030, which will force the Seville club to negotiate a transfer.
