The Nervion club continues to scour the market for affordable options and has focused on Victor Robert Dican, a 25-year-old pivot from Farul Constanța, valued at €700,000.

Sevilla FC has set its sights on the Romanian market to strengthen the midfield without inflating expenses. The chosen one is Victor Robert Dican, a 25-year-old defensive pivot who plays for FCV Farul Constanța and whose market value is around €700,000, according to Transfermarkt.

Dican, born on October 11, 2000, in Râmnicu Vâlcea, stands at 1.92 meters tall and is right-footed. His natural position is defensive pivot, although he can also play as a centre-back. He joined Farul on a free transfer in July 2024 from Botoșani and has a contract until June 2027.

A physical and disciplined profile

The Romanian player stands out for his physique, ability to win duels, and tactical discipline. He is not a creative footballer, but he provides balance, order, and consistency. His ratings on analysis platforms like Sofascore average between 6.7 and 7.0. In the 2024/25 season, he played nearly 37 league matches with Farul, scoring four goals and providing one assist. In the 2025/26 season, he has played between 23 and 28 matches and scored one goal.

His career in the Romanian league exceeds 200 matches and he has around 20 goals. Before reaching the elite, he played for Metalurgistul Cugir and Universitatea Cluj, where he made nearly 50 appearances and scored about ten goals. He then played for Botoșani, with 93 matches in Liga 1. He was a U21 international with Romania and participated in the 2023 U21 Euro.

A low-risk signing for the Nervion economy

The economic context of Sevilla requires searching for low-cost, disciplined profiles with experience in competitive leagues. Dican meets all these requirements. His current salary in Romania is around €3,500 per month and his agent is 11WINS GmbH. He is a physical, versatile player with sustained performance, although lacking experience in top-level leagues.

A low-risk and low-cost signing aligns with the strategy that José Ignacio Navarro, the sporting director since June 2026, has applied at other clubs and now needs in Nervión. Dican could strengthen the midfield rotation with a physical, disciplined, and economical profile. His ability to play as a pivot or centre-back adds value to a team that needs versatility and balance.

It may not be a signing with media impact, but it would be a useful piece to increase competitiveness without compromising the budget. Sevilla continues its policy of smart signings in a market where every euro counts. We will have to wait for the operation to progress, but the name of Victor Dican is already on the sporting director's table.
