On the A-4 motorway, near the capital of Seville, a diversion has been established due to roadworks between kilometre points 531.9 and 534.0, in the increasing direction (southwest). This diversion, in effect since January 16, requires vehicles to use an alternative lane. Additionally, in the same stretch, a passage restriction has been imposed for vehicles wider than one metre, also due to the works on the road.
Further east, in the municipality of Carmona, the A-4 is experiencing a total closure in the increasing direction at kilometre point 520.5, with a black service level (maximum impact). This closure, active since July 21, affects exit 521, so drivers must seek alternative routes. The DGT recommends exercising extreme caution in this area and respecting the temporary signage.
In the region, two secondary roads remain closed due to damage to the roadway. The SE-225, which connects Carmona and Marchena, has been closed in both directions between kilometre points 12.5 and 14.1 since June 10. The initial forecast indicates a duration of five months, so the closure is expected to last at least until November. Meanwhile, the SE-9225, between Algámitas and Pruna, has also been closed in both directions since April 29, with a black service level. This local road has damage that requires prolonged repair.
Additionally, the A-8100 as it passes through Carmona (kilometre points 2.0 to 11.0) has the increasing direction closed due to works since March 5. Drivers heading towards Carmona must divert via alternative routes.
Restrictions on the AP-4 and SE-30
The most recent alert concerns the AP-4 motorway, in Las Cabezas de San Juan, where the right lane remains closed due to works between kilometre points 37.0 and 40.1, in the south direction (towards Cádiz). This closure, active since July 27, affects traffic on one of the main access routes to the province of Cádiz from Seville.
On the SE-30, the Sevilla ring road, a restriction has been established for vehicles over 20 tonnes on the stretch between kilometre points 9.5 and 12.5, in effect since January 2025. This permanent measure aims to preserve the condition of the pavement in an area of high heavy traffic density.
Finally, the A-8005 (kilometre points 0.0 to 2.2) has been closed in both directions since November 2023, becoming one of the oldest alerts on the DGT's list. The expected reopening date is unknown.
