The Diputación de Sevilla has opened the application period for the Reset Scholarships, offering financial aid of up to 4,000 euros for accommodation for Degree and Higher Vocational students. Applications can be submitted from July 22 to August 11.
Seville students studying outside their locality can now apply for the Reset Scholarships from the Diputación de Sevilla, a financial aid of up to 4,000 euros to cover accommodation expenses. The call, corresponding to the 2026-2027 academic year, has a total budget of 1.2 million euros and will be processed exclusively online.
The application submission period starts this Wednesday, July 22, and extends until August 11, as reported by the provincial institution. The regulations have been published in the Official Bulletin of the Province, and the management is carried out through the Diputación's Electronic Headquarters.
Requirements to Access the Scholarship
Students enrolled in university degrees or Higher Vocational Training at public centres in the province of Seville can apply for this aid. It is essential that the family home is located 40 kilometres or more from the study centre, and that both are situated within the province.
Additionally, applicants must meet an age limit: 22 years for those enrolling for the first time in the first year, 23 years for the second year, and 24 years for the third year, with reference to January 1, 2026. As a new feature, this year students enrolling for the first time in the third year can also apply for the scholarship.
Renewal and Evaluation Criteria
Those who were beneficiaries in the previous academic year can apply for renewal, provided they maintain the required socioeconomic conditions and demonstrate a minimum academic performance of 50% of the approved credits. The aid is incompatible with any other public or private subsidy intended for the same purpose.
For the granting, which is carried out in a competitive manner, socioeconomic, socio-family, academic, and territorial criteria are evaluated. The subsidisable period covers from September 1, 2026, to July 15, 2027.
Full Payment and Statements from the Deputy
The maximum individual amount is 4,000 euros, which will be paid at 100% once the final resolution is approved. The Deputy for Culture and Citizenship, Casimiro Fernández, has encouraged Seville students to apply for this support “to families and talent, compensating for unfavourable socioeconomic conditions and making social cohesion possible.”
Fernández emphasised that the scholarship “is also for the dreams of young people living in towns further away from the capital and its metropolitan area.” The initiative aims to facilitate access to higher education for those residing in rural municipalities or far from major university centres.
For students from towns like Estepa, Cazalla de la Sierra, or Lebrija, where the distance to the capital or other centres can exceed 40 kilometres, this aid represents significant financial relief. The Diputación reminds that the processing is entirely online and that the period is short, so it recommends preparing the necessary documentation in advance.
