Utrera's summer programme, featuring Veranea in Utrera, Noches del Castillo, and the first edition of Rock in the Park, has surpassed 1,600 participants. The free tourism activities have grown in demand and attracted visitors from all over Spain.
The cultural and tourism programme of Utrera has wrapped up the months of July and August with a total of 1,686 participants and spectators in the activities of Veranea in Utrera and Noches del Castillo, along with attendees at the two concerts of the first edition of Rock in the Park, as reported by the Utrera City Council.
The City Council highlights the positive reception from the public and the intention for Rock in the Park to continue as part of the city's cultural offerings. This event, one of the main new features of this summer, has managed to gather an audience that the City Council has not detailed but reinforces the commitment to this format.
In terms of tourism, Veranea in Utrera 2026 has combined free activities organised by the Tourism delegation with proposals from private entities. The offerings have included routes and guided tours, heritage experiences, active and nature tourism, and activities related to astronomy.
The three initiatives directly promoted by the City Council have attracted 320 participants, with demand increasing as the summer progressed. The most attended was “Atardeceres”, held at the Torre del Homenaje of Utrera Castle to watch the sunset over the countryside, which this edition included music in tribute to Pepa de Utrera for the centenary of her birth. The five sessions gathered 128 people.
The heritage experience “Noches en el Palacio de Vistahermosa”, which allows visitors to explore the City Hall at night and discover its historic halls and the characters linked to the building, had 132 participants. Meanwhile, the route “Utrera, a walk through its figures and illustrious characters” attracted 60 people.
Although local attendees were the majority, the activities welcomed visitors from other municipalities and regions of Spain. Among the recorded origins were Alcalá de Guadaíra, Morón de la Frontera, Dos Hermanas, Carmona, Los Molares, Arahal, Sevilla, Badajoz, and Barcelona, in addition to visitors from communities such as Catalonia, Extremadura, Castilla-La Mancha, and Basque Country.
The cultural programme was centred at the Castle of Utrera, where the 2026 edition of Noches del Castillo gathered 1,366 spectators across six performances. The cycle began on 10 July with La Gore in concert, followed by “París al piano” by Carmen París, and “Reinos del Flamenco”. July concluded with “Fuera de Carta” by Maui de Utrera.
In August, the cycle continued with “Los Humanos” by Antonio Martínez Ares, and concluded on 14 August with “Un solo compás” by Fernando Soto & Gipsy Alma.
With these figures, the Utrera City Council considers the summer season closed and is already working on the next cultural programme, which will be announced in the coming weeks.
