The La Algaba Town Hall gathers farmers, Civil Guard, and Local Police to prevent thefts as the orange campaign begins.
The mayor of La Algaba, Diego Manuel Agüera Piñero, met with the agricultural sector of the municipality to hear their concerns and discuss measures against thefts on the farms. The meeting took place in the afternoon of the day before this information was published, with representatives from the government team, the Civil Guard, and the Local Police.
According to the Town Hall itself, this meeting is repeated every season with local producers. This time, the aim was twofold: to gather proposals from farmers and to review what preventive measures can be applied during the harvest of the orange, when the fields see increased activity and a higher risk of theft.
The council highlights that coordination between the Civil Guard and the Local Police will be key to strengthening surveillance in the fields of La Algaba. For the farmers in the municipality, this translates into a police presence specifically designed for the season.
The Town Hall also urges farmers to report any suspicious situations on their farms. According to the corporation, early communication facilitates the action of security forces and helps prevent crimes before they occur.
