The state delegate of the Seville Free Zone, Carmen Tovar, and the mayor of Dos Hermanas, Francisco Rodríguez, have discussed the potential expansion of the free zone outside the port area using state-owned land in the municipality.
The Seville Free Zone (ZFS) has taken a step to study its growth beyond the port area. The state delegate of the consortium, Carmen Tovar, met with the mayor of Dos Hermanas, Francisco Rodríguez, to analyse the availability of state-owned land in the Nazareno municipality.
The meeting is part of the organisation's strategy to identify spaces that allow it to expand its capacity to attract investments and host new industrial and business projects. The ZFS operates under the premise that the available state land in Dos Hermanas could help reinforce its role as an instrument for economic promotion and job creation.
The meeting is framed within a metropolitan perspective. The consortium aims to extend the opportunities of the free zone and leverage the industrial, logistical, and business potential of Seville and its surrounding municipalities.
The possibility of growing outside the port area would give the Free Zone more leeway to respond to future investments and encourage the establishment of new productive activities. In this context, the meeting with the Dos Hermanas City Council represents a first step to analyse the possibilities offered by the existing state-owned land in its municipality.
The Seville Free Zone will continue to explore different growth alternatives that strengthen its capacity to attract business and industrial projects and continue contributing to the economic development of Seville and its metropolitan area.
