The Alcalá de Guadaíra City Council, through the Urban Habitat delegation, has announced the installation of a new children's play area in the square located next to the Antonio Medina de Haro Civic Centre. The initiative responds to demands made by local residents, who have called for a safe recreational space for children.
The municipal delegate for Urban Habitat, David Delgado, has detailed that the work will include the installation of new play equipment, continuous rubber safety flooring, signage, and a perimeter fence that will define the safety area. All materials will be certified and comply with current regulations regarding children's parks.
Delgado has emphasised the importance of these infrastructures for the development of children:
“Play and meeting areas for children provide a fundamental service to citizens, as children's play areas promote the learning of new motor and social skills.”The councillor insisted that these spaces contribute to the autonomy of young children and allow them to enjoy activities in a controlled and safe environment.
This initiative is part of the projects for the creation and replacement of children's areas that the council is developing in various locations throughout the town. With this new installation, Alcalá de Guadaíra expands its network of parks, responding to a community demand that has been ongoing for some time.
Work is expected to begin in the coming weeks and have a short execution period, so that residents can soon enjoy the new facilities. The City Council has not yet specified the exact start date or the investment allocated to the project.
