The Town Council of Palomares del Río has announced the programme for its 2026 Fair, which will begin with a pre-fair on September 1 and conclude on the 6th with the patron saint's procession.
The Town Council of Palomares del Río has revealed the key dates for its 2026 Fair, an event that will once again bring together locals and visitors in the fairground. The programme will kick off on September 1 with the traditional pre-fair, a preview of the main days that will be celebrated between September 3 and 6.
The organisation has two important deadlines open for those who wish to participate actively. On one hand, the registration for booths for this edition is still ongoing, providing an opportunity for families and groups of friends to set up their own space in the fairground. On the other hand, the competition to choose the official poster for the Fair is also still open, which will illustrate the image of this celebration.
Before the festivities begin, a coordination meeting for the Fair's safety will be held on August 18, as reported by the Town Council. This meeting will address the necessary arrangements to ensure the smooth running of the scheduled events.
The festive programme kicks off on September 3 with a meal aimed at the young people, boys and girls of the locality. The following day, September 4, will be the turn of the traditional meal for the elderly. On September 5, the Fair will bid farewell with a light show that will provide a grand finale to the days of celebration in the fairground.
The day of September 6 will be marked by the procession of the patron saint of Palomares del Río, which will crown the festive programme. The Town Council encourages all residents to participate: “I look forward to seeing everyone in the fairground,” they state in the official announcement.
