The Alcalá de Guadaíra Town Hall will place a new children's playground in the square next to the Antonio Medina de Haro Civic Centre, responding to requests from local residents.
The Urban Habitat delegation of the Alcalá de Guadaíra Town Hall has announced the installation of a new children's playground in the square located next to the Antonio Medina de Haro Civic Centre. This action responds to requests made by residents of the area.
The municipal delegate for Urban Habitat, David Delgado, detailed that the work will include the installation of new play equipment, continuous rubber safety flooring, informative signs, and a perimeter fence that will delimit the safety area.
Delgado justified the intervention by highlighting the value of these spaces for children:
“Play and meeting areas for children provide a fundamental service to citizens, as children's playgrounds promote the learning of new motor and social skills for boys and girls, making them essential infrastructures for autonomy, enjoyment of activities in a controlled and safe environment that impacts the development of the youngest.”
The councillor framed this action within the comprehensive renewal of the area, which also includes the Civic Centre itself and the future Local Police Headquarters. He pointed out that this set of facilities will transform the area into a space with commercial, social, and residential dynamism.
“This is a new children's playground in a completely renovated space, alongside the Civic Centre that all residents will soon be able to enjoy, and the new Local Police Headquarters, thus completing this area of the city, which is set to become a space with great commercial, social, and residential dynamism.”
The City Council has reminded that all projects for the creation and replacement of children's playgrounds are carried out in accordance with current regulations, using approved elements and materials that seek the highest levels of safety in these types of installations.
The intervention will benefit families in the vicinity of the Medina de Haro Civic Centre, who will have access to a renovated recreation space that complies with regulations. The Town Hall has not yet specified the timeline for the execution of the works.
