The town of Los Alcores is preparing a special traffic and security operation for stage 17 of La Vuelta 26, which will pass through its streets on September 9 between 15:41 and 15:53 hours.
The Town Hall of Alcalá de Guadaíra is finalising the special traffic, security and mobility operation for the passage of La Vuelta a España 26, whose stage 17 will traverse the municipality on September 9. The day, covering 189 kilometres, will start from Dos Hermanas and finish in Seville.
The peloton, consisting of 184 professional riders, will arrive in Alcalá de Guadaíra from Morón de la Frontera and will cross several streets in the urban area before continuing towards Mairena del Alcor and El Viso del Alcor. The entry into the municipality will occur via the road from Morón de la Frontera, passing through the Huerta del Cura urbanisation and the SE-3203 road.
The urban route will begin on Avenida Santa Lucía and continue along Calle Arahal and Avenida Antonio Mairena until the Beca roundabout. From there, the peloton will proceed along Avenida 28 de Febrero to the Empresario Pedro Rusillo Espinosa roundabout, before linking with Calle Manuel Azaña and crossing the A-92 motorway via the A-392 road, the exit route towards Los Alcores.
The forecast is that the cyclists will enter Alcalá de Guadaíra between 15:41 and 15:53 hours, depending on the pace of the race. Prior to this, the promotional caravan of La Vuelta will be located on Calle Taurino from 14:16 hours for about 15 minutes, distributing around 4,000 promotional gifts.
The traffic operation will begin around 12:30 hours, although street closures will not occur until approximately half an hour before the event passes. The duration of the restrictions will depend on the progress of the race, so the timings may vary.
The Town Hall recommends that spectators who come to enjoy the caravan and the riders follow the instructions of the security and organisation services at all times. The council has published an informative dossier with all the details of the route and the traffic impacts.
