The route, measuring 4.08 kilometres divided into three laps of 1,360 metres, features an average gradient of 9%, making it a highly demanding physical challenge. Participants must gauge their strength on each ascent, with slopes that test their endurance.
The start and finish were located at the esplanade of the Santuario de Nuestra Señora del Águila, and the route passed through heritage sites such as the Castillo de Alcalá de Guadaíra, which was a privileged witness to the competition. The public once again cheered on the runners along the route.
