The Patio de las Buganvillas at Hacienda Santa Ana hosted the performance of Californian singer Tia Carroll on Saturday, the highlight of a second edition expanded to two days that brought together hundreds of fans.
The second edition of the Tomares International Blues Festival took place on September 18 and 19 at the Town Hall Patios, organised by the Tomares Town Hall together with the Seville Blues House. The event expanded its programme to two days after the positive reception of the first edition.
The Patio de las Buganvillas at the Hacienda Santa Ana, the municipal headquarters, was the chosen venue for Saturday's event. Californian singer Tia Carroll, one of the most recognised voices in contemporary blues, soul, and gospel, arrived there from the United States.
Her performance, with a commanding stage presence and a vocal strength that moved the audience, capped off the evening in front of hundreds of genre enthusiasts. The festival attracted a total of hundreds of blues lovers over the two days.
Among the audience were Tomares Mayor José María Soriano; Councillor for Culture Magdalena Ybarra, and Delegate for Major Festivals María Toledo, who attended the scheduled performances.
The national lineup included Quique Gómez & His Vipers, Lluís Coloma Trío & Kid Carlos, Quique Bonal & Kid Carlos, Q & The Moonstones, Lightning Band, La Manso & Blues Sapiens, Slowhand, and Santos Puertas. The latter opened on Friday with a masterclass, a cocktail, a concert, and a jam session.
The Tomares Town Hall has reported that the programming and cultural news of the municipality are disseminated through its website and social media profiles.
