The first cycle of Early Childhood Education (0-3 years) has begun today in Lebrija with 347 children enrolled in eight centres. The Municipal Nursery Garabatos is one of them.
The 2026/2027 school year for the first cycle of Early Childhood Education has started this 3rd of September in Lebrija with a total of 347 children enrolled in the eight educational centres that offer this stage in the locality. Among them is the Municipal Nursery Garabatos, which is part of the network of centres that cater to children aged 0 to 3 years.
The delegate for Childhood, Education and Training, María Paula García, has highlighted the importance of this stage and has expressed her recognition to the families who are starting this new journey, as well as to the professional teams who will accompany the children during their first years of schooling. García has wished for it to be a good year, marked by normality and without incidents.
The Town Hall emphasises that the early years of life are fundamental for the development of children, as significant advances in personal autonomy, language, socialisation, and emotional development occur during this phase. Joining this cycle marks the beginning of an educational experience where children start to interact with other children, gain autonomy, and discover their surroundings.
The school enrolment calendar will continue next week. Starting from Thursday 10th of September, the course for students of the second cycle of Early Childhood Education and Primary Education will begin, a stage where more than 2,300 children are enrolled in the eight public schools in Lebrija.
Finally, after the Fair and Patronal Festivals, students from Secondary Education, Baccalaureate, Vocational Training, Artistic Education, and Adult Education, as well as special regime language courses and higher artistic education will be incorporated.
