The Municipal Football Field Carlos Marchena brought together hundreds of athletes on November 4 for the first local edition of this high-intensity event, part of the Fortius Hybrid League.
Las Cabezas de San Juan celebrated its first edition of the Fortius Hybrid Race on November 4, a competition that gathered hundreds of athletes at the Municipal Football Field Carlos Marchena. The event, part of the Fortius Hybrid League, took place throughout the morning on the municipal sports ground.
The event responded to the demand from local crossfit groups and functional training enthusiasts who requested a competition of this nature. The organisation was managed by the Las Cabezas de San Juan Town Hall, through its Sports Delegation, and included local athletes as well as participants from other parts of Andalusia.
The Fortius Hybrid Race combines high-intensity disciplines and exercises, a format that is part of the Fortius Hybrid League, in which the municipality is involved. The day unfolded with great intensity and spectacle, according to the organisers, and also attracted an audience in the stands.
The Sports Delegate, Pepe Quiñones, and the first deputy mayor, Nieves Hernández, attended the events and participated in the award ceremony for the top finishers in the various categories.
The Sports Delegation expressed satisfaction with the response received, both from athletes in Las Cabezas and those who travelled from other parts of Andalusia. The celebration of this first edition marks a further step in diversifying the municipal sports programme and in the commitment to host events that attract visitors.
"The positive response from participants and the public highlights the interest in these new types of sports modalities and the municipality's capacity to host events that expand the local sports offering," stated the Sports Delegation.
The event is part of the Las Cabezas de San Juan Town Hall's strategy to incorporate different sports proposals into the municipal calendar and attract participants from across the community. The Fortius Hybrid League continues to develop with new events in various locations.
