The Las Cabezas de San Juan Town Hall has put out to tender the redevelopment of a green corridor in El Ranchillo, with a budget of €135,000 and six months of works planned.
The project is up for bidding with a base budget of €135,000, VAT included, and an estimated value of €111,570.25 excluding VAT. The action is part of the Más Sevilla Plan and aims to improve a public space next to the Cordovilla stream.
The area to be intervened measures approximately 7,295 square meters. Interested companies can submit their bids through the State contracting platform, as reported by the Las Cabezas de San Juan Town Hall.
The design of the new walkway includes pedestrian paths and a cycle-pedestrian path, intended for those travelling on foot or by bicycle. Rest areas, areas of gravel and natural grass will also be created, and trees will be planted to provide shade along the route.
Among the planned facilities is the installation of a safety barrier along the Cordovilla stream, in order to protect the environment and regulate user traffic. Urban furniture will complete the development of this green corridor.
The execution period is set at six months from the formalisation of the replanning act and the start of the works. The awarding criteria include allowing bidders to offer a reduction of this period, which would shorten the duration of the works.
The connection with the El Ranchillo peri-urban park is one of the central objectives of the action, which aims to link this natural space with the urban core of the municipality. This facilitates residents' access to a larger green area and expands the offer for walking and outdoor physical activity.
This project adds to other municipal initiatives aimed at the renaturalisation of the locality and the recovery of degraded environments. The Town Hall maintains that such projects help improve green areas and add environmental value to public spaces.
