The Town Hall of Tomares has opened the registration period for the free advanced spreadsheet course with automation using AI. It consists of 80 hours and 15 places.
The Town Hall of Tomares, through its Local Development Agency (ADL), has opened the registration period for the course “Computer Applications for Spreadsheets, Advanced Level + Automation with AI”, a training action of 80 hours included in the annual program “Tomares Capacita 2026”.
The training will be held from September 14 to October 5, 2026, from 9:00 to 14:00 hours, at the FPE Centre “Tomás Ybarra” (Calle Tomás Ybarra, 2, 1st floor). The working software will be LibreOffice Calc.
The course is aimed at residents of Tomares who are registered with the SAE as unemployed or seeking employment improvement and registered with the Municipal Employment Agency. A prior intermediate level of spreadsheet handling is required, either in Excel or Calc, as the program does not include introductory content.
The objective is for students to master intermediate and advanced formulas and functions, cross and analyse databases with lookup functions such as VLOOKUP or HLOOKUP, pivot tables, filters, and data validation. There will also be work with conversational artificial intelligence (ChatGPT or equivalent) as an assistant to generate, translate into natural language, debug and audit formulas, as well as for data analysis and dashboard design. The course concludes with an integrative project that replicates a real case of automation with AI support.
Places are limited: 15, which will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Participants from the Comprehensive Projects Programme for Employment Insertion for those over 52 years old will have preference.
The registration period will remain open from August 31 to September 11. The application can be downloaded from the municipal website or collected at the ADL, at Calle Tomás Ybarra, 2. It must be submitted along with the DARDE document for job seeking or improvement, either through the Electronic Headquarters of the Town Hall of Tomares or at the Citizen Attention Service (Calle de la Fuente, 10), with an online appointment.
For any questions, interested parties can write to adl@tomares.es or call 954 15 91 20, extensions 1203 or 3302.
