The City Council of Seville has opened the application period for the sixth edition of the Éfeso Sevilla project, which will offer 1,305 places in 87 training pathways with professional certificates and internships in companies.
The City Council of Seville opened the application period on 7 September for the sixth call of the Éfeso Sevilla project, a labour insertion programme that combines training with professional certificates, internships in companies, and individualised support. Applications can be submitted until 18 September 2026 at 23:59 hours.
The programme, funded by the European Social Fund Plus and the council itself, has an investment of 9.77 million euros and anticipates the participation of 1,305 people in 87 pathways lasting between three and nine months. All of them are linked to official professional certificates, valid throughout the European Union.
The delegate for Employment, José Luis García, explained that these are "complete pathways for unemployed individuals to improve their qualifications, gain experience in companies, and move closer to employment," rather than just isolated courses. "We continue to bet on training linked to professional certificates as a tool for the labour insertion of those facing greater difficulties," he added.
The level 1 pathways are aimed at individuals without formal education, with a schooling certificate or school graduation. They include specialties such as catering preparation and assembly assistant, waiter assistant, cleaning staff, vehicle electromechanics, bodywork and painting, restocking in hypermarkets, floor waiter, or messaging and delivery. The level 2 pathways, designed for those with ESO or equivalent qualifications, focus on the care of dependent individuals in institutions.
Training will be conducted in the morning, from 9:00 to 14:00 hours, or in the afternoon, from 16:00 to 21:00 hours, depending on the chosen pathway. Classes are expected to start around the end of October 2026.
In addition to internships, the programme includes tutoring, individual guidance, and transversal training. To facilitate attendance, scholarships of 13.45 euros per day are offered to participants.
Unemployed individuals over 16 years old, registered in Seville and in disadvantaged areas for the pathways aimed at these areas, registered as unemployed job seekers in the Andalusian Employment Service, and who meet the minimum qualifications required for each level can apply for these places.
Part of the places are reserved for groups with greater insertion difficulties, such as long-term unemployed individuals, those over 45 years old (especially women), people with disabilities equal to or greater than 33%, nationals from third countries or of foreign origin, minorities, and individuals in vulnerable situations.
Applications can be submitted electronically through the municipal website, without the need for an electronic certificate, Cl@ve, or electronic DNI, or in person at the General Registry and the Auxiliary Registries of the City Council of Seville.
