The Tomares Fair celebrates this Friday, September 4, a public holiday in the town, one of its most anticipated contests: the XII Rice Competition, which will bring together 28 locals in the Municipal Tent from 12:00 to 14:00.

The participants will showcase their culinary skills to cook their best rice, and the contest will culminate with a free tasting at 14:30 for all who come to the venue. At 16:00, the Awards Gala is scheduled, where the winners of the Booth Contest will also be recognised.

The festive day will continue in the evening with a performance by the Sugar Orchestra at 21:30, followed by the young flamenco singer Belén de los Reyes at 22:30. A resident of Tomares and winner of the Naranjito de Triana 2025 Award in the Flamenco Talent Singing Contest of the Cristina Heeren Foundation, the artist is one of the promising talents in current flamenco.

The highlight of the night will arrive at 00:00 with a concert by the legendary Seville group Siempre Así, who will perform songs such as ‘Te Estoy Queriendo Tanto’, ‘A Mi Manera’, ‘Para Volver a Volver’, and ‘Se me va’. The Sugar Orchestra will return to liven up the Municipal Tent at 02:00.

Throughout the day, the traditional and century-old Tombola of the Sacramental Brotherhood, the origin of the Fair, will distribute hundreds of gifts. On Saturday the 5th, the programme will continue with performances by Ely Silva (15:30), Agustele (22:00), David Civera (23:30), and Peterpunk & The Diablo Band (01:30), while on Sunday the 6th there will be a Children's Gala at 13:00 and free pizza for children at 14:00.
