The cultural programme for September in Palomares del Río kicks off on the 16th with an astrophotography exhibition and runs until the 26th with theatre, storytelling and astronomical observation.
The Culture department of the Palomares del Río Town Hall has presented the cultural agenda for September 2026, a programme that combines science, performing arts and children's literature in various spaces throughout the municipality. This initiative is part of the Palomares Habitable project, which aims to bring local and Andalusian creativity closer to residents.
The first event will be the astrophotography exhibition “Deep Space. Photographs Light Years Away,” by Miguel Gutiérrez Páez, which can be visited from 16 to 20 September at the Hacienda Ulloa Exhibition Hall. The images showcase celestial objects captured from great distances, providing an opportunity to contemplate the universe without leaving the municipality.
On Friday the 18th at 20:00, the Astromares Association will offer a lecture and an astronomical observation at the Municipal Theatre and Arab Baths. This activity will allow attendees to closely observe the night sky and resolve questions with amateur astronomers.
Theatre will arrive on Saturday the 19th at 20:00 with a performance of “Macbeth”, included in the Andalusian Theatre Festival. The play, one of the most famous titles by William Shakespeare, will be staged at the Municipal Theatre, as part of a tour covering various locations in the community.
Children will have their turn on Wednesday the 23rd at 18:30 with the children's storytelling “Son, please”, led by Ana Belén Marchal, at the Municipal Library. The session aims to promote reading among young audiences through an engaging and participatory narration.
The agenda will conclude on Saturday the 26th at 12:00 with the children's play “Fabulous Stories”, performed by the Marcopan Producciones company at the Municipal Theatre. This proposal is designed for family enjoyment and to bid farewell to the month with an afternoon of fantasy.
