The Bormujos Town Hall has launched 'Summer in the Parks', a free initiative that brings bouncy castles, workshops and foam cannons to different locations in the municipality every Tuesday in July and August.
Last Tuesday, July 7, the Carlos Cano Park in Bormujos became the epicentre of children's fun with the first event of 'Summer in the Parks'. Dozens of families attended, where the little ones enjoyed bouncy castles, workshops and a refreshing foam party, all at no cost.
The initiative, promoted by the Bormujos Town Hall, aims to provide a free outdoor leisure alternative during the hottest months of the year. The activities are scheduled from 19:00 to 21:00, allowing families to take advantage of the cooler hours, ideal for combating the summer heat.
A calendar that travels through the neighbourhoods
The programme does not stay in one park. Every Tuesday, the party moves to a different location in the municipality. After the premiere at Carlos Cano, the next event will be on July 14 at La Florida Park, where children's workshops and a foam cannon will be set up.
On July 21, the party will arrive at Las Constelaciones Park, and on July 28, at La Arboledilla Blanca Paloma Park. At each stop, children can jump on the bouncy castles and get wet with the foam, while parents enjoy a safe and supervised environment.
August ends with a grand finale
August will keep the momentum going. On 4, the event will be at Aníbal González Park, and on 11, at Municipal Las Portadas Park. The final day, August 18, will take place at Boulevard San Juan de Dios Park, where a grand finale will be celebrated with bouncy castles and surprises.
The Town Hall has highlighted that all activities are free and designed for children of all ages. “Summer arrives at the parks of Bormujos. Every Tuesday, refreshing activities for a fun family time,” municipal sources state.
For the residents of Bormujos, this initiative provides relief for the wallet during a time when children's leisure activities can significantly increase family spending. Additionally, it promotes neighbourly coexistence and the use of public spaces in the municipality.
With this proposal, Bormujos joins other towns in Aljarafe that advocate for free outdoor leisure. The key to success, according to the Town Hall, lies in the variety: bouncy castles, manual workshops and, above all, the foam cannon, which generates the longest queues among the little ones.
“It is the best alternative to combat the heat,” say officials from the Bormujos Town Hall.
The 'Summer in the Parks' programme thus consolidates itself as an unmissable event for families in the municipality. Those who want to secure a good spot should arrive a little early. The foam and bouncy castles do not wait.
