The Bormujos City Council has presented the programme for the Summer Nights, which includes musical tributes, summer cinema and circus shows in various parks across the municipality between July and August.
Bormujos is preparing for a summer full of outdoor activities. The City Council has unveiled the programme for the Summer Nights, a cultural agenda that will take place during July and August in various parks and public spaces throughout the municipality. Concerts, musical tributes, summer cinema and circus performances make up an offering designed for all audiences.
The first event will be on July 10 at Carlos Cano Park, featuring a tribute to Manuel Carrasco which will take place after the Spanish national team match. This dual proposal combines the sporting atmosphere with live music, a formula that worked well in the municipality last year.
A tribute to María Jiménez and the concert by María Villalón
The series will continue on July 18 with Siempre María, a tribute to María Jiménez performed by Esperanza Soria. This will take place at 22:30 in La Florida Park. The next stop, on July 31, features María Villalón and her concert Lorca por ti, at the boulevard of San Juan de Dios Avenue, also at 22:30.
“We wanted culture to reach every corner of the municipality, with a varied programme that invites families to enjoy the summer,” municipal sources explain.
August kicks off with an international nod: on August 6, Los Álamos Park will host a tribute to ABBA at 22:30. To close the series of major concerts, August 23 will see Rodeo, a circus show at 21:00 on the San Juan de Dios boulevard.
Summer cinema every Thursday
In addition to the concerts, the Summer Nights include a weekly offering: summer cinema every Thursday with selected films for all audiences. Screenings will take place in various locations that the City Council will announce soon.
This initiative reinforces the use of parks and green spaces as meeting points during the summer months. Residents of Bormujos and visitors to Aljarafe will be able to enjoy a varied offering that combines music, culture and family leisure outdoors. For those who are late to the party, details of the cinema have yet to be published, but it is expected that films will be announced in advance through the official channels of the council.
