The University of Seville and the Town Hall of La Rinconada open the pre-registration period for the new course of the Experience Classroom, aimed at those over 50 years old. Applications can be submitted from September 1 to September 23.

The Experience Classroom of the University of Seville, in collaboration with the Town Hall of La Rinconada, opens the pre-registration period for the 2026/2027 course. The program, aimed at people over 50 years, seeks to promote science and culture, as well as foster intergenerational relationships and the social participation of older adults.

Pre-registration, for new students only, will be open from September 1 at 10:00 hours until September 23 at 23:59 hours. Applications will be made exclusively through the website set up by the university.

Self-registration, for those who are admitted, will take place from October 7 to 16, 2026 on the portal https://auto-matricula.us.es/. To facilitate this process, the Seniors area of the Town Hall of La Rinconada offers personalised assistance from a specialist technician in IT.

The subjects offered for this course are Mediation, Mathematics, History, Japan, Physics, Literature, Civil Law, and Biology. Additionally, the program includes cultural outings, seminars, and the traditional end-of-course trip.

The delegate for Seniors, Noelia Ramírez, has highlighted that “the Experience Classroom is much more than an academic program; it is a meeting space, continuous learning, and vitality for our seniors. Year after year we see how this project renews their desire to learn, demonstrating that it is never too late to return to university, discover new interests, and continue to be an active and dynamic part of La Rinconada.”

To request an appointment with the IT technician, interested parties should go to the Equality Area, at calle Alberto Lista, 32, or call 955790534. Assistance will be provided by appointment, during office hours.

This program, promoted by the University of Seville, is taught in La Rinconada as part of its provincial offer, allowing local seniors to return to the classroom or start in higher education. Places are limited and are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, so it is recommended to formalise pre-registration as soon as possible.
