The delegate for Culture, Raquel Vega, has met with the association to plan the upcoming months, which will include concerts for seniors and families, as well as events for the centenary of the Generation of '27.
The Municipal Band of Music Cristo del Perdón of La Rinconada is already working on its programme for the coming months. The Culture delegate of the Town Hall, Raquel Vega, has met with the president and treasurer of the Cultural Association Cristo del Perdón, José Antonio Luque and Rafael Paredes, as well as the band director, Carlos Alcauza, to define the activities for autumn, Christmas, and the upcoming year.
The band, which has over 40 years of history, will maintain its traditional annual events while adding new ones. Among these are concerts for seniors and families during Christmas, in collaboration with local groups, as part of the Culture with a Cause project that the association is already developing.
Raquel Vega has expressed her willingness to collaborate on various lines of work: “A helping hand to explore all opportunities for musical growth and exciting new projects. Collaboration for instrumental renewal, cycles linked to the commemoration of the Centenary of the Generation of '27 for which we will have a broad calendar of actions, or a special Culture with a Cause because music is also a source of health.”
The delegate has not specified dates or venues for the upcoming concerts, but she has indicated that the Town Hall will support the renewal of the band's instruments. The residents of La Rinconada will be able to enjoy these proposals starting in the coming months, with special attention to the Christmas programme.
