The Equality area of the La Rinconada Council launches the 2026-2027 MUJER-ES programme, with nearly a hundred training and wellness activities. Applications start on September 16, except for the New Technologies Classroom, which opens on September 1.
La Rinconada is ready with the new edition of its MUJER-ES programme, an initiative from the Equality area that continues its mission to strengthen the empowerment, training, and wellbeing of women in the municipality. The programme, which will run throughout the 2026-2027 period, is structured around four main axes: the Feminist Classroom for Personal Growth, the Women and Health Classroom, the New Technologies Classroom, and the Growing Together workshops.
This year's slogan is “I am unique, diverse, unstoppable, and the protagonist of my story”. The Equality delegate, Noelia Ramírez, explained that with this new offer, the Council aims to reaffirm its commitment to real equality.
“To reaffirm our unwavering commitment to building a society based on justice, freedom, and real equality between men and women”
Ramírez also emphasised that the programme seeks to promote a transversal feminism and highlighted the importance of working from an early age: “the future of equality is built from the earliest stages; that’s why we strengthen our presence in educational centres and in the sports field to break gender roles and combat any form of machismo.”
In total, the programme includes nearly a hundred activities. The Permanent Training Classroom in New Technologies offers more than 20 training sessions covering everything from basic computer skills to gender-sensitive office software, cloud tools, Canva, an introduction to artificial intelligence, PowerPoint, email, USB usage, Google Maps and Calendar, online management, employability improvement, and internet safety. Registrations for this classroom open on September 1 and will remain open throughout the programme's duration.
The Feminist and Personal Growth Classroom will focus on self-awareness, emotional intelligence, healthy relationships, assertiveness, and art and music as empowerment tools. Meanwhile, the Women and Health Classroom resumes the Let’s Talk About Health cycle, with thematic talks on issues affecting women's wellbeing, and adds workshops on managing emotions such as anger, anxiety, stress, sleep hygiene, shared responsibility, healing bonds, and artistic expression.
Within Growing Together, workshops for yoga and pilates at various levels, drawing and painting, creative sewing, patchwork, dance fitness, and women’s gatherings have been scheduled. As a new feature, this course includes LIDERA, aimed at women who want to boost their confidence and value their skills, and Associations in Motion, to promote the participation of women’s associations and their active presence in community life.
Equality in the educational field remains one of the pillars. Workshops will be held in local centres, from Primary to Baccalaureate, and the Mini-Coeducational Incubator: Entrepreneurship in Equality programme will debut, in which students will develop a simple business idea, service, or social initiative with a coeducational perspective. The Non-Sexist and Non-Violent Toy and Game Campaign will also return, alongside wardrobe talks and campaigns for November 25 and March 8.
Applications for the rest of the programme can be submitted starting September 16.
