The Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility has tendered for €602,144.36 for the rehabilitation of the N-630 road between Guillena and Santiponce. The works cover 16 kilometres and improve the camber of a curve at kilometre 796.
The N-630 road through Guillena, Salteras, and Santiponce will feature a renewed surface. The Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility has tendered the construction contract for €602,144.36, VAT included, as reported by the department itself.
The work extends over 16 kilometres, from kilometre 790, at the connection with the A-66 in Guillena, to kilometre 806, at the connection with the A-66 in Santiponce.
The works include several interventions. Between kilometres 794.5 and 796.6, a new wearing course of 6 centimetres thick will be laid as preventive surface rehabilitation.
In the stretch between kilometres 800.4 and 805.1, the wearing course will be milled and replaced, and geogrid reinforcement will be installed in areas with the greatest crack openings.
Additionally, between kilometres 794.6 and 795.9, the active layer of the ground, about 3 metres, will be replaced, and the pavement structure will be reconstructed with sub-base and bituminous mix.
The project also includes improving the camber of the curve located between kilometres 795.8 and 796, with the aim of enhancing road safety. Furthermore, road markings and affected signalling and safety elements will be restored.
This project is part of the conservation and maintenance programme for the State Road Network. The Ministry has invested €222.7 million in the province of Seville since June 2018.
For the residents of Guillena, Salteras, and Santiponce, the tender represents the first step in correcting the deterioration of the surface in a stretch with cracks and damage. Once the contract is awarded, the works will be carried out at the specified points and will affect traffic on the N-630, a route that connects these municipalities with the A-66.
