The GUILLENA FORMA 2026 programme, promoted by the Guillena City Council, concludes with ten students trained in storage and distribution, with internships in three local companies.
Guillena has concluded this week the course on ‘Activities ancillary to transport. Storage, Logistics and Distribution’, a training action that has allowed ten local residents to complete 200 hours of theoretical and practical training. The initiative is part of the municipal programme GUILLENA FORMA 2026 and the ITINERA-PROEMPLEO VI project, promoted by Prodetur, an entity dependent on the Provincial Council of Seville.
The training took place between June 8 and July 31. The theoretical classes were held at the La Estación Civic Centre, while the internships were carried out from July 10 to 31 at the companies Grupo Castillo, Grupo Pantoja, and Bimani, all based in the area.
The councillor for the Employability Training Area, Anabel Montero, attended the closing event, where diplomas were awarded to the participants. The aim of the course has been to improve the job insertion of unemployed individuals, with special attention to groups facing greater barriers to accessing the job market.
The training itinerary has combined specific training, non-labour professional internships, transversal and complementary training, individual tutoring, and job activation and orientation workshops. This structure aims to equip students with practical and theoretical tools to navigate the logistics and transport sector.
One of the highlighted incentives has been the €20 daily attendance grant, which was given to those who met the minimum of 80% attendance and achieved the training objectives. This financial aid has helped to offset the costs associated with training, such as travel or childcare.
The initiative is part of a broader strategy by the Guillena City Council, which, through its Employability Training Area, seeks to reduce local unemployment and provide qualifications demanded by the business fabric. Collaboration with Prodetur and the Provincial Council of Seville allows for an expanded training offer in the municipality.
Training in logistics is particularly relevant in a region where transport and distribution are increasingly significant. Internships in real companies have allowed students to gain firsthand knowledge of work routines in warehouses and distribution centres, adding value to their CVs.
