The municipality of Guillena will be the venue for the Villa Gravel Race, a cycling event that will take place on Saturday, October 17, starting and finishing at Parque Familia Rendón Hidalgo. The circular route will have 121 kilometres and a total positive elevation of 1,720 metres.
The event is open to a wide range of categories, from cyclotourists to Elite UCI, including Sub-23, Junior, and various Master categories (30, 40, 50, and 60), for both men and women. Registrations will remain open until the day of the event.
The participation fee is 30 euros for licensed cyclists and 42 euros for non-licensed participants. Interested individuals can register through the platform of the Andalusian Cycling Federation.
The topography of Guillena, located at the gateway to the Sierra Morena of Seville, makes the municipality an ideal place for gravel cycling. The route will combine tracks and historic paths with sections of Mediterranean forest and countryside landscapes, according to the organisers.
The event presents an opportunity for cycling enthusiasts from the province of Sevilla and the rest of Andalucía seeking a mid-distance event in a natural setting. The start and finish will be concentrated at Parque Familia Rendón Hidalgo, a meeting point for participants and the public.
