The Town Hall of Guillena has organised an informative meeting to share the details of the extraordinary aid approved by the Government of Spain following the wildfires that have affected the municipality since June 9. The meeting will take place on Tuesday, August 4 at 11:30 AM in the plenary hall of the Town Hall.
During the meeting, municipal technicians and representatives of the local administration will explain what these grants consist of, who can be beneficiaries, and what damages are eligible for compensation. The requirements, necessary documentation, and deadlines for submitting applications will also be detailed.
The Government of Spain, through the Royal Decree approved by the Council of Ministers on July 28, has declared Guillena as a zone severely affected by a civil protection emergency. This classification allows the municipality to access the aid regulated in Royal Decree 307/2005, of March 18, and in Order INT/277/2008, of January 31.
The wildfires, which began on June 9, have mobilised a significant emergency response from the Junta de Andalucía and have caused damage to homes, plots, agricultural and livestock operations, businesses, and municipal infrastructures. The declaration includes Guillena among the 211 affected areas across Spain.
