According to Orgullo de Nervión, the sporting management led by José Ignacio Navarro has accelerated efforts to secure the services of Julio Díaz, a 21-year-old left-back belonging to Atlético Madrid. The operation, which would include the purchase of 50% of his economic rights, is in a very advanced phase and is considered a done deal within the club.
Julio Díaz, trained in the Atlético youth academy, has completed pre-season under the orders of Diego Pablo Simeone, but Atlético is considering his departure to ensure he gets minutes in La Liga.
