The Nigerian international joined Sevilla in the summer of 2024 as a free agent, signing a three-season contract. His signing generated expectations due to his ability to unbalance opponents in one-on-one situations, but his performance has been inconsistent and he never managed to establish himself as an undisputed starter. However, in the final stretch of last season, under the orders of Luis García Plaza, he delivered his best performances since arriving in Nervión.
Despite those positive feelings, Ejuke's role in the new project is more oriented towards that of a rotational player rather than a key piece. Therefore, both the club and the player believe that a change of scenery could be beneficial for both parties. This number could increase if Rubén Vargas also departs. Ejuke's departure would facilitate these movements and allow the club to approach pending operations in a market that still has several weeks ahead.
