Sevilla FC is considering executing the loan clause for Adrián Embarba from Almería, to play at a Primera club that takes on his salary. The operation depends on the transfer of Rubén Vargas.
Sevilla FC has its sights set on Adrián Embarba, a winger from UD Almería, as a potential offensive reinforcement for the upcoming season. According to this newspaper, the Nervión club is evaluating activating the loan clause in the contract of the Madrid player, which is valid until 2028, for him to leave the Almería team and join a LaLiga EA Sports team that fully assumes his salary, estimated at just under one million euros net.
The operation, reported by journalist Ismael Medina, is directly conditioned on the future of Rubén Vargas. The Swiss-Dominican winger, who has increased his market value following his outstanding performance in the 2026 World Cup, is one of the most sought-after players in the market. Sevilla has set his price at around 20 million euros and has already received inquiries from the Premier League. If his transfer goes through, the club would have the necessary financial margin to cover Embarba's salary without paying any fee for the loan.
Embarba already used this same clause last summer, after Almería's relegation, to go on loan to Rayo Vallecano, where he had a notable season.
