The Council of Government has ratified Ricardo Sánchez as the provincial delegate of the Junta de Andalucía in Seville, a position he has held since 2019. The president of the PP in Seville thus begins his third term leading the regional representation.
Ricardo Sánchez, originally from Mairena del Alcor, has been confirmed this Wednesday as the Andalusian Government delegate in the province of Seville for a third consecutive term. The decision, made by the Council of Government, signifies the continuity of a profile with a long institutional and political trajectory in the province.
The third vice president and councillor of Economy, Finance and European Funds, Carolina España, was responsible for announcing the appointment following the weekly meeting of the regional Executive. With this designation, Sánchez maintains the representation of the Junta de Andalucía in Seville, a position he has held since 2019, when the Popular Party came to power in the regional government.
With a degree in Chemical Sciences from the University of Seville, Sánchez spent twelve years developing his professional career in laboratories dedicated to industrial coatings research before making the leap into politics. His institutional career began in 2011 when he was elected mayor of Mairena del Alcor, a municipality where he has also served as a councillor.
In addition to his role as provincial delegate, Sánchez presides over the Popular Party of Seville and has held the Vice Presidency of the Andalusian Federation of Municipalities and Provinces (FAMP). His profile combines experience in local management with organic responsibilities within the party.
The continuity of Sánchez at the head of the Andalusian Government Delegation in Seville is part of the renewal of the eight provincial delegates of the regional Executive. All of them will serve as the highest representatives of the Junta in each province during the new stage of Juanma Moreno's government.
For the residents of the province of Seville, Sánchez's permanence signifies stability in communication with the regional administration, especially in areas such as infrastructure, education, health, or employment, which are directly managed by the Junta.
