The 23-year-old Brazilian midfielder Lulo Dasilva has ended his time at Sevilla Atlético after six seasons in the Nervión youth academy. In a letter published on social media, the player thanks the club and laments not having debuted in an official match with the first team.
Sevilla Atlético continues to reconfigure its squad for the new season, and one of the most significant departures has been that of Lulo Dasilva. The Brazilian midfielder, who joined Sevilla's youth academy in 2020 from Real Betis, has announced his farewell after six years at the club. At 23, Dasilva leaves without having debuted in official competition with the first team, although he did participate in several friendlies and trained under Julen Lopetegui, Quique Sánchez Flores, and Joaquín Caparrós.
In an emotional letter shared through his social media, the player wanted to make clear his bond with the Nervión entity. "The time has come for me to say goodbye. After six years, it's time to close a chapter that has marked my life forever. These have been the best six years of my life," he wrote. Dasilva thanked the support of teammates, coaches, and club staff, whom he described as a second family. "Sevilla has not only helped me grow as a footballer but also as a person. The midfielder, who was trained in the lower categories of Betis before crossing the city, wanted to underline his Sevilla sentiment. "Playing for this club has been the greatest thing that has happened to me. Wearing this badge on my chest has been a privilege that I will remember for the rest of my life. I leave with my heart full of memories and lessons because before wearing this shirt I was already a Sevilla fan, and that is something I will never stop being. Farewell, Sevilla. We will meet again," he concludes in his farewell message.
The departure of Dasilva is part of a deep renewal of the Sevilla B team, which faces the upcoming season with Diego Galiano at the helm. The aim is to fight for promotion to Primera RFEF, without neglecting the training of players who can make the jump to the first team. Last season, players like Oso, Castrín, Kike Salas, Juanlu Sánchez, or José Ángel Carmona demonstrated the value of the academy, contributing to the first team's survival and generating potential income for the club.
Regarding sports planning, Sevilla Atlético has already confirmed several signings: midfielder Viktor Chumachenko from Gimnàstic Manresa; winger Marc Scuri from Mollerussa; and striker Silvio Castillo, signed from Atlético Central to initially strengthen Sevilla C, although he is doing pre-season with the B team.
